No one really needs a popcorn recipe, right? There is nothing complicated about making popcorn. Pop (haha) some kernels in a pot, or a brown bag in the microwave, and after a couple of minutes, the magic happens and you end up with a delicious and somewhat healthy snack.
This blog post isn’t a recipe for popcorn, instead its instructions on how you can make a batch of it in the Philips Jamie Oliver HomeCooker. You see, the stirring attachment in this magic pot, allows you to sit back and watch the magic happen, without the awkward hassle of shaking the pot on your stove, half burning your arm, and losing the lid and most of the popcorn all over the stove top.
To make the popcorn in the Philips Jamie Oliver HomeCooker, set the temperature to 250C, add a tablespoon of oil, and allow the oil to heat for 7 minutes. Add 1/2 cup of popcorn kernels, put the lid on the pot, and leave the popcorn to pop for between 7 to 10 minutes. Make sure you have the stirring attachment on, and you should avoid having any burnt popcorn. The popcorn is ready when the time between pops is about 2 to 3 seconds.
Top your popcorn with salt or your favourite seasoning ,I love using salt and vinegar seasoning on mine.
